Community Guidelines

You're responsible for what you share

Only make a movie Discoverable if you own it or have the right or permission to share it with others. Uploading a movie to your own Google Drive for personal or invite-only watch parties is different from making it discoverable to the whole Watch Party community — the bar for the latter is higher, and it's on you to clear it.

What you can share as Discoverable

• Content you created yourself
• Content that's in the public domain
• Content you have explicit permission or a license to redistribute

What you shouldn't share

• Copyrighted movies or shows you don't have the rights to distribute
• Illegal content of any kind
• Spam, misleading titles/descriptions, or content designed to deceive
• Content that's abusive, harassing, or otherwise inappropriate

Attribution

When you make a movie Discoverable, your name is shown as the contributor (“Shared by [name]”). This is how the community gives credit — it also means you're identifiable as the source if something needs to be reviewed.

Reporting

Anyone can report a Discoverable movie, for reasons including:

• Copyright concern
• Illegal content
• Spam
• Misleading content
• Inappropriate content
• Other

Reports go to us for review — reporting doesn't automatically remove content, and we don't make that decision inside the app itself. We aim to review reports promptly and will remove content or restrict accounts where warranted.

Consequences

Violating these guidelines can result in content removal, visibility restrictions, or account suspension, depending on severity and whether it's a repeat issue.
